Crowdbase Refund Policy

1. Introduction

Thank you for investing with Crowdbase. We appreciate your support and commitment to crowdfunding projects. However, if you change your mind regarding your investment, you have the right to cancel your commitment within four (4) days of placing your investment order, in accordance with Article 22 of Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 (ECSPR).

Crowdbase extends this four-day reflection period to all investors, including both non-sophisticated and sophisticated investors.

Below, you will find details on how to request a refund, eligibility conditions, and important exclusions.

2. Refund Eligibility

Investors may request a refund/cancellation of their investment if:

  • The request is made within four (4) days of placing the investment order.
  • The crowdfunding campaign has not yet been completed (i.e., still active and accepting investments).

Once a campaign is successfully completed, investments cannot be refunded or cancelled. Investors will then own securities in the funded project, subject to its terms and conditions.

💡 Note: While ECSPR mandates this reflection period for non-sophisticated investors, Crowdbase extends the same right to sophisticated investors, ensuring equal flexibility for all investors.

3. How to Request a Refund

To cancel your investment and request a refund:

  1. Log in to your Crowdbase account and go to the Transactions tab.
  2. Click the ‘Refund’ button next to the campaign in question.
  3. Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected] or use our chat support on the platform.

Once your request is submitted, our team will process it and confirm whether you are eligible for a refund.

4. Refund Processing Time

  • Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days from the date of the request.
  • Depending on your bank or payment provider, refunds may take up to 1-2 billing cycles to reflect in your account.
  • Investors will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed.

💡 Important: Crowdbase does not charge any additional refund fees, but standard payment processing and transaction costs may apply.

5. Exceptions & Important Notes

🚫 Investments in successfully completed crowdfunding campaigns cannot be refunded.

🚫 Investors are responsible for any transaction fees incurred during deposit, investment, and withdrawal processes if funds were not successfully invested.

🚫 All investors, regardless of categorisation, have the same four-day reflection period.
