You’re on holiday, staying in an Airbnb or hotel. It’s late, you’re tired, and you don’t feel like going out or cooking. But ordering in is a hassle. You need to download an app, create an account, figure out your location, and hope the hotel even allows deliveries.
Tasteat makes it effortless!
Scan the QR code in your room to open a curated menu of nearby restaurants that deliver straight to your stay. No downloads. No sign-ups. No guesswork. The QR code already knows where you are.
It’s like room service without the kitchen. A new standard for hospitality that works for any hotel or short-term rental, powered by the local food scene.
63% of hotels and almost 100% of short-term rentals don’t offer food…
… yet travelers still want the option to dine in.

Whether for business, leisure, or with family, many guests prefer the comfort of eating in their accommodation. But without food services on site, they are left searching for delivery options on their own. They navigate local apps, create accounts, figure out if delivery is even allowed, and hope the food is good.
This creates a poor guest experience and leaves accommodation providers with no way to meet a clear and growing demand.
Tasteat brings curated food delivery into every hotel room and rental!

Guests scan a QR code in their accommodation and instantly access a list of local restaurants selected for quality, reliability, and relevance to travelers. They can order directly through the platform, with meals delivered to their room or apartment.
It feels like room service, but without the need for a kitchen or in-house staff.
For accommodation providers, it is a simple way to offer added value to guests while generating extra income, with zero operational overhead.
From scan to delivery in 3 simple steps

Scan the QR code: Each hotel room or rental has a unique QR code that identifies the property and location.
Browse and order: Guests view a curated menu of local restaurants and place their order directly through the Tasteat platform.
Enjoy your food: The order is sent to the restaurant and delivered straight to the guest’s door. Guests can also pre-order for a specific time.
Greece sees over 30 million visitors per year, generating 150 million room nights.
Most of these stays are in accommodations that do not offer food.

From this total, approximately 70% (105 million room nights) is considered serviceable based on Tasteat's operational focus and capabilities. Within that, we are initially targeting 30%, or 31.5 million room nights, representing our Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM).
At an approximate 4% conversion rate, this represents 1.3 million orders annually, generating a potential €32M in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) in Greece alone.
Looking ahead, Tasteat has identified Rome (30M visitors/year), Amsterdam (19M visitors/year), and Paris(40M+ visitors/year) as priority markets for future expansion, where travel volumes and accommodation patterns are similarly attractive.
Tasteat earns revenue from both sides of the transaction, making the model scalable and efficient.

Tasteat charges a 12% commission on each order from participating restaurants. In some cases, a revenue share model of 0% - 5% is applied instead.
A service fee is charged to the end customer, typically ranging from €1 to €6.5 depending on the size of the order and location.
Tasteat plans to introduce targeted advertising for partner restaurants as an additional monetisation channel. Advertising will allow restaurants to promote their listings within the platform, opening up a high-margin revenue stream as our footprint grows.
Our strategy initially focused on direct sales, partnerships with hosts, and close customer support to drive early adoption. This helped us establish a strong presence across multiple destinations in Greece and validate the model.
In 2025, we are shifting towards product-led growth
We are integrating with hospitality management systems, enabling hosts to self-register, using geofencing to match supply and demand in real time, and deploying AI tools for menu creation and upselling.
These steps will allow us to scale more efficiently, reduce acquisition costs, and expand into new locations.
Our goal is to 5x our revenue in 2025
Guests staying in hotels or short-term rentals often turn to takeaway, food delivery apps, or Google to find something to eat. These services may work for locals, but they are rarely intuitive for travelers.
They require downloads, registrations, and trial-and-error when it comes to finding quality options nearby. The experience is generic, inconsistent, and disconnected from the accommodation itself.

Tasteat addresses these gaps by offering a faster, more seamless experience that feels built into the stay. As shown in the comparison, we combine ease of use, curated menus, and host integration in a way that existing delivery services do not.
Tasteat isn’t just another delivery platform.
It’s built around a simple insight: travelers want the convenience of room service, even when staying somewhere that doesn’t offer it. We turn that expectation into reality.
By embedding food ordering directly into the guest experience, Tasteat creates a seamless connection between accommodation and local dining. No other service is designed this way. No apps. No friction. No guesswork.
This is what makes Tasteat unique. It enhances the stay, supports local restaurants, and adds value for hosts, all through one lightweight, intuitive platform.

At the heart of Tasteat is a team that blends deep industry knowledge with strong execution capability.
Alexandros Vassilikos, Founder, is an invaluable asset to the company. As President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and HOTREC EU, and CEO of the Airotel Hotel Group, he brings unmatched access to the hospitality sector across Europe. His leadership and network are instrumental in driving adoption and forging strategic partnerships.
Dimitris Sousoudis, CEO & Co-Founder, brings over 15 years of commercial experience and a strong background in digital advertising. Formerly Commercial Manager at MarineTraffic, he is responsible for executing the company’s vision and driving business growth.
Nektarios Giannoulis, Head of Engineering, has more than 12 years of experience in engineering and product development. He previously led global tech solutions at IBM Turbonomic and Verobotics, and now leads the development of the Tasteat platform.
This is not just an idea. Tasteat is already live!
In our first year of operations (2023), we onboarded over 2,600 rooms, fulfilled more than 6,000 orders, and generated €98,000 in Gross Merchandise Value, with a 10% conversion rate from scans to orders.

In 2024, we reached 4,500 active points of sale, with an additional 4,000 rooms already signed and preparing to go live. Orders increased to over 9,000, and GMV nearly doubled to €195,000. Our conversion rate improved to an impressive 18%, with Q1 2025 performance already tracking at 19%.

This consistent improvement in conversion rate (from 10% in 2023 to 19% in early 2025) demonstrates increasing user engagement and platform optimisation. These results confirm both product-market fit and growing demand. Tasteat is building real momentum, and this is just the beginning.

Tasteat has successfully validated its business model and is now shifting its focus towards significant scaling. The company's growth trajectory is outlined for the coming years.
In 2024, Tasteat established a solid foundation, achieving a GMV of €195,000 through its network of 4,500 Points of Sale (PoS) operating across 10 active destinations.
Building on this, the current year (2025), coinciding with its pre-seed funding round, aims for substantial growth. The target is to increase GMV to €850,000 by scaling the network to 15,000 PoS and expanding operations into at least five new destinations.
Looking ahead to 2026, following a planned seed funding round, Tasteat anticipates further exponential growth. The company aims to reach a target GMV of €5,000,000, supported by a vast expansion to over 80,000 PoS. This phase also includes international expansion into 3 to 4 new markets.

*GMV represents the total value of all orders placed through the Tasteat platform.
A significant element of this growth plan is driven by the Greek market. Tasteat projects that capturing just 10% of this market alone represents a potential GMV of €4.4 million, which could translate into over €650,000 in revenue generated from service fees and restaurant commissions.
We are raising €600K in this pre-seed round via a convertible note to fuel our next stage of growth. The funds will be deployed in the following areas:
Sales and Outbound: €270,000 (45%)
Operations: €120,000 (20%)
Product Development: €120,000 (20%)
Marketing: €90,000 (15%)
Terms: Convertible Note with a €3.5M cap, 20% discount, 5% interest, and a €500K trigger event.
We have already secured €538.5K from experienced investors on these same convertible note terms, validating this opportunity. Up to €61.5K is available for this crowdfunding round, with the remainder expected from additional strategic investors outside the platform. This is the only opportunity to invest on these terms before our next funding round, planned for 2026.

While no one can predict the future, there are several clear paths through which investors in Tasteat could realise returns:
Strategic Acquisition: As Tasteat expands into new markets, we could become an attractive target for large food delivery platforms, hotel tech providers, or travel-focused marketplaces looking to add hyperlocal food ordering to their ecosystem.
IPO (Initial Public Offering): With Greece’s stock exchange gaining momentum, a public listing on the Athens Stock Exchange could be a viable path once we reach scale, offering early investors liquidity while supporting further growth.
Profitability & Dividends: In the long run, if market expansion opportunities narrow and the business maintains strong cash flows, we could return capital to investors through dividends.
Tasteat is building a business with multiple viable exit paths. As we scale across Europe, our goal is to build a category-defining company at the intersection of food, travel, and technology.
